Thanks mullinsd2 - I'm using BRS 2-part solution. The tank is up to around 50-60 mL of each per day. I've tried Kalk in the past with some success - but really like the convenience and stability of 2-part.

Great setup! Mine should be here in a few days as well. I'm just trying to figure out sump options - I want to use my BK Alpha Vertex 170 on this system.

How much live rock do you have in your tank?

Thanks - best of luck with your setups!

Uncle Luke - I've got a total of around 75-80 pounds of liverock in the system - only around 35 in the display though. The BK skimmer would be awesome - are you ordering the stand from CAD or building your own? If you're going with DIY, you may want to build it 3-feet long and use a 40-breeder - makes a great sump!

Go for a bubble king 160. The alpha is way to big. You will be disappointed with the skimmate production. The neck is to large and a 50 gallon even with a 40 gallon sump will be to small. You won't have enough organics. If you must have a high end cone, go with the I-tech 200 or ATB 840 V1.5. They have much smaller necks, I still feel that is overkill though.
I have a SWC 160 cone on my 93 gallon with 15 breeder sump and it is great. Plenty of skimmer for my tank. Plus it is a 1/4 of the price.

Great looking tank, Ive been looking at the 50gal CAD for sometime, but haven't made the plunge yet. Keep the photos coming.

Nice looking cube you got there, awsome colors...

Im considering it as an option for my office.

Ive been told that this aquarium scratches to easy, is this true?

THX in advance

Can you post a pic of the tank further back view with the hanging Neptune light? I'm getting the Artisan and considering this light.

Ozarksreef, this is a beautiful tank to say the least. My wife and I are considering setting one up in the future. We currently have a JBJ 28 150w HQI and I am pretty bored with it. I have a couple of questions though. Where do you get your corals from? Steph and I were down in Springfield over the weekend and stumbled in to Planet Coral, which had a pretty decent selection. Also, did your tank come with the stock skimmer and sump, if so do you still have it?

Very nice Setup.. Your corals look awesome and your placement is nice. Cadlights built my custom 180 rimless as well. I've enjoyed doing business with eddie and his family over the years.

It's been awhile since I've posted an update - things have been very busy around here. The system is starting to show signs of maturing; nearly at the 8-month mark.

My Elegance coral is doing well. It showed some signs early on of the dreaded elegance coral disease. I was afraid I'd lose it, but it turned the corner and is looking much better now.

The cube just wasn't large enough - upgraded to a 120-gallon Miracles Rimless:

Corals all seem to be handling the move well - here's my scoly waking up:
