I have not kept up to date on the AEFWs. Are we sure about this?

Thanks for keeping me honest. Your comment made me go and do some more homework. They are NOT swimmers. They are classified as free living, meaning not parasitic to live animals, I mistook this for free swimming. They live their entire lives on the coral, not floating around in the water.

These are our vermin.
AEFW
The mouth was ventral in the posterior third of the body length. The digestive syncytium
contained no recognizable contentsâ€"specifically, no nematocysts, which would indicate
feeding on the coral tissues, could be found.

I'm glad we got this cleared up.

ChinCheck787, I have used sea chem and at 2x dosage for 10 minutes, it did not kill all of the fw's. I would try either FLUKE TABS as a dip b/c Myself and others have had awesome results with it or you could try TMPCC as clkwrk and others have reported it killing all as well. Be sure to dose TMPCC at whatever they are b/c some have OD and browned their corals. :)

If I had to do it again I would try the fluke tabs for mass treatment but for incoming percautions TMPCC will do fine IME.

For everyone that voted this option " I run ozone and have not had a bad case of AEFWs"

Does this mean you had/have them and the infrection isn't really bad with large egg clusters?

I vited in this group because I never had them bad IMO Largest egg cluster was under 10 most were 5-6 eggs in each spot and no more than 2 or 3 spots on affected ciorals.

Also I have observed eggs on plastic and rock so they don't limit their eggs to coral.
