just curious if anyone localy runs ozone on there system
since i have been getting my tank pretty self sustaining/ stable
with my ACIII, controlling my Kalk reactor, calc reactor
and other various equipment i am hearing that ozone
can help with clairty and increase how well my skimmer works
just curious on what experience any of you might have

also if any one has one they want to sell, i am looking for one

Gotcha... I wish I could remember where I read that the Enaly's were good.

The thing of it is, an ozone generator simply has an arc of electricity inside of it that splits the O2 molecules if I'm not mistaken. Personally, I will be at least trying an inexpensive one first most likely. I mean good grief... $180 for the cheapest one they have or $40... and for something that should be fairly simple in operation. We'll see, though.

Let me know if you pick one of those up! Right now everything for me is in limbo waiting to see about this job. :)

I have an ozone generator that I will sell/ trade. I am at work right now, but I will let you know more when I get home at 4:30.

They definately will help with water quality. But are a PITA sometimes. I really looked into one a few years back when I had a cyno issue, but the cost to benefit ratio was not what i was looking for. Cyano eded up clearing up fine with good skimming and carbon.

Just get some Vodka,

tooo funy - so i guess being from new york i will alow your opinions. :D

so what do you think of ozone

also i have been thinking of vodka dosing also, can you do that in conjunction with ozone? or no

I have used it on and off. I have a red sea generator and I will say it is pretty much junk. I have had to take it apart and work on it a few times to get it working again. Fuses blowing, the power supply messing up, etc. I will say when it works the water is very, very clear. The first time I used it I looked at the tank the day after I turned it on and I was shocked at how much clearer the water looked.
