Ozonizer Questions

Work In Progress
So I am interested in getting an ozonizer. I was reading something that said you need some sort of carbon filter in the Skimmer? I have an ASM skimmer, where does this go? Is it needed? Also, does the air inlet of the venturi need to be that special tubing they are saying is needed for ozone? Thank you for your help.

I think it is desirable, but if you choose to use ozone in a simmer, GAC treatment of the effluent and air won't be that useful because the flow is usually too high.

I have read through all your documents. Good stuff! I am still confused about the carbon filter aspect. I am thinking about getting the Ultralife unit because it doesn't require the air dryer and I could use a controller on it. With that being said where does the carbon filter go? Would I need an air pump for this unit? It sounds like the protein skimmer would draw the air in? Could I use a air dryer unit and just put carbon in it? Thanks for all your help.

Carbon filters optimally go on the water effluent and on the air effluent. That is, after the water and ozone/air mix together.

I'm not familiar with the Ultralife unit, but people almost always use air pumps. Do you have a link to it?
