Pablo's 10/11 gallon build

Thought I should start a thread for my little 10 gallong tank I started this week. Its going to be a softy and lps tank. I created the filter system from a symple overflow and a maxi jet. Im planing on adding carbo and just doing water changes to main anything. Ill be running a par38 bulb for lighting. If need I will add evs two parts. I placed live rock from my 120 and wont need to cicle this tank . Really exited for this build!! This is what I have so far:

Lmk what you think. Its my first small tank in years and any advise is welcome. First time with leds and am hoping for the best. Thanks

Is there any benifit to having sand in the tank? Is it just for astetics? Would a one inch sand bed serve for denitration or would it beter to keep it bare bottom and do large water changes.
