i am trying to hook this chiller up what pump do i use and how do i connect it ? i found a manual online but am not sure it just shows a picture thats not very helpful to me can i use a maxijet to pump water in and out of it i have a mag 9.5 and it definitely will not fit

richard did you get this chiller setup? i will be useing a mag7 with mine. says 500-800gph but im more interested in how its working for you.

a little more details would help. what kinda fittling it has and what size they are.
usually chillers require 400+gph flow also depends on size of a chiller.
give me specs nd maybe able to help a bit more.

It has two 3/4" barbed fittings on the top of the chiller. One connection runs to your pump with a flexible hose, the other runs to a return in your tank. I have used a Mag 5 and an ehiem 1260 pump, either works well.

I had the same chiller and used a Quiet One 4000HH with it. It worked very well. A Mag 9 would work just as well. You need to add 6 foot of head loss to that chiller and choose your pump accordingly.
