Pacific coast PS-300P

Hi Jason.
I'm interested in the Pacific coast PS-300P skimmer on your site. It's such a good price, but is it a good skimmer? Will it work good for my application? Let me give you a run down on my tank spects:
It's a 20L with a 10g sump the space I have in the sump for a skimmer is 9"x10". Also the tank is a bare bottom(starboard)setup so I want to create a low nutrient environment.
Currently I'm running a prism and I hate the thing. How much better will the Pacific coast PS-300P skim then the POS I currently have?

Hi Tony,

the Pacific Coast is a pretty decent skimmer. It's a china import, but decent quality. It's made of plastic not high grade acrylic, but for a lower end skimmer, it's one of the better ones out there. We would rather see you get a EuroReef, but it's twice the price. I think this skimmer would be a better choice then Berlin prism or even berlin classic.

Well I hate to go 2nd best, but I don't have that kind of money bugeted for the euroreef at this time or I would get one in a heart beat. I may go with the ASM G1. I really like the reviews this skimmer is recieving, but I'm not sure it would fit in my sump. What is the footprint of the ASM G1? Will it fit in a 9"x10" space? If so I think I will go with this skimmer.

You should be able to fit the G1, needs 8.5 x 10, so would be close, but should fit in there.

ASM works pretty nice, has a good quality pump. It's short of a knock off of EuroReef, lower priced alternative. I think it would skim pretty well. So would make a good choice.

Oh BTW. When will you have the 20K 150w DE CoralVue bulbs back in stock? I would like to make both purchases at the same time.

Euroreef CS5-2 it is!!! It looks like I'm getting more on my tax return than I thought

I'll also be picking up the bulb and a couple powerheads too.
