For those of u with experience with these chillers please comment if there is any appreciable differences between the two. Positve or negitave. I am planning a 1/2 hp for a 285 tank.. Thanks

Tony I run current- easy to find replacement parts and repairs anywhere.

Currently have two inline on my 200.

Gasman, Did you mention that5 you keep your currents outside previously? I currently have a current which has worked well but what I have is a drop in. It won't work on my new system. Are your chillers just as efficiant in August as they are in March being kept outside? Also how do you cover them? Thanks

tony yes they are- they are both set to be on at 79.2 all the way down to 78 and they are very efficint for my tank.

I have them covered by a little wooden shack, vented on both sides.

As far as the controller I had a friend electrician built me a converter box that connects to my aquatronica for reduction of amperage.
