So I'm going ot be painting my tank soon and was just wondering what kinda paint people have used with sucess, and also what colors look best....black, dark blue, light blue. any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Josh

I think people just use enamel on the outside of the tank. If your not sure of the color, you could always paint a board and mount it behind the tank to see what you like. Easier to change out if you want to try something else.

I know alot of people have had good success with the Krylon fusion spray paints. I personally like a black background. I think it makes the colors pop more but everyone has there own preferences.

I've used black Krylon Fusion spray paint on two tanks now (a 20 and a 75). It dries quickly between coats, and with both tanks I just gave it 6 hours or so to cure before filling up with water. It has held up really well so far, and looks nice.

Same here thought if I were to do another tank I would go glossy over satin.
