pair of blue jaws in a reef??

They will fight from what I have read. I would also have 4-6 inches of sandbed for them to dig holes in. In a 75 there is not enough room. In a 200+ tank with alot of other fish to distract them you might make it ok but the psycholgy of the fish might still lead to fighting.

a pair of bluethroat triggers will be fine in a reef
as long as they are a male/female

2 males will fight 2 females i hear will fight and i have seen a female change to male so. its hard to say.

I agree, as long as the tank is big enough to give them lots of swimming room.

I have a male and female in my reef, they arenââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t aggressive at all.

They donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t dig.

think it could be done in a 135 gallon reef, and would you have to put both fish into the tank at the same time or would it be better to put the male/female first

thanks

I would put both in at the same time.

If you plan to do this in a 135, I strongly suggest that these be your only fish that reach a size of greater than 3". You could then keep a couple fish that are smaller and you should be ok for your bioload. 2 Full grown Bluethroats in a 135 would be plenty.
