Pairing clownfish question

When pairing clownfish are they supposed to be biting eachother and running away? I assume the one running away is going to be the male? And also, when I put em in they just chased and the dominant one bit the other one. Will they become a pair?

How large are they and how is the behavior otherwise?
Is one displaying gestures of submission?

The chasing and biting sounds actually like you have two females. If that's the case they will fight until one is dead or they get separated.

They're about an inch maybe more. Oops, I ment that one of them is biting and chasing while the other one is swimming away. The first day the dominant one went on its side and did a spazz but nothing else has happened in terms of submission. Will the dominant one keep chasing the other one until he gives in or will they never become a pair. How long will it take if they do become a pair?

At one inch none of them is a female yet. Still, you may want to put one (or both) into an acclimatization box - one with a divider if caging both. They will have to get used to each other without being able to fight.
It seems the hierarchy isn't clear enough yet, which is the reason for the fighting.

Which species are they actually?

Give them time, but separate them if the fighting causes damage.
If you separate them, make sure they can see each other.

I noticed that the more dominant one bit the other one and went on his side and twitched a little. I thought the smaller one does the twitching

Bump (does the dominant one twitch or the non dominant because the dominant on mine is twitching)

The female in my case did the twitching. If you see the spazzing let them work it out unless it gets brutal.
