Pairing Marine Betta?

Hi... Interested to know anybody have a pair of marine betta before or they are solitary fish...
Any physical difference between them...
Might wanna pair my exsiting marine betta...
Considering a smaller one...

I used to have a pair of them, a few years back. Really mellow fish. They hung around near each other in the back of the aquarium. One was about 5" and the other apprx. 3 1/2". I would catch glimpses of them eating frozen mysis shrimp every now and then. I'm not sure if they were actually a male/female pair or not, however the way they acted, they seemed to be. Also I believe Minh Nugyen had a spawning pair in his old system.

Will go and take a look... So it might be possible if i get a smaller one to pair them up...
