Pairing of Chiragra

So I have a 25 gallon divided tank. Very large Male on one side and smaller female on the other.

Due to the fact that they kept on getting through the divider I made the exectutive decision to forget about it and let them live together. Strangley enough they have made burrows that are literally right beside eachother and will come out and eat at the same time (so they know where eachothers burrows are).

This is quite bizarre I know so Roy is this going to eventually turn bad? Should I end this honeymoon early?

The immediate danger is if one of them molts. That would probably be its end. G. chiragra pair for a few days before the female lays eggs, so do not be surprised if they move in together. However, when the male leaves and the female lays her eggs, it is probably time to separate them.

I have actually reared G. chiragra larvae from egg to postlarvae, but it is a lot of work, I only got a handful through, and it was expensive in terms of water, food and nutrient supplements.
