I have a spawning pair of wild caught, true percula clownfish.
I have raised three batches of eggs, and as the fry approach a sufficient length where I can feel comfortable letting them go to local club members, I am faced with a difficult decision: should I allow people to adopt pairs of these clownfish?
I have several inquiries, and many people are asking for pairs. However, a pair of these clownfish are technically brothers and sisters.
Would these decedents even pair?
If they pair, would they spawn?
And if they spawn, would the eggs even be viable?
My inclination is to restrict people to adopting just one, even if they say they are not going to raise any fry.
Also, my first batch are at about 65 days now, and they only have a very faint beginning of a second stripe. Is this normal? they have a very well defined first stripe and notable black markings on the pectoral fins, but the second stripe seems to be very slow in coming.
