Pairing tailspot blennies?

Can you pair tailspot blennies? Is it possible? Is it tank size dependent? Thanks!

Just never tried two because I did not know if they would get along.

I have a pair in my 180g that for the first 6months were side by each... The last 4 or so months they stay at opposite ends of the tank...

I've never seen breeding action or eggs, but every month or so one looks so fat I think it might be preggo... The it loses weight about a week later...

Are they a pair? Not sure... Since they've settled, it seems they are more reclusive...

Well, I'm trying a couple, figuring I have two other tanks if I need to separate them. They stay together all the time. I didn't think the smaller one was going to make it, as I even caught it floating around the tank 24 hrs after adding them. But it's been almost a week now, and they are doing well. The are ALGAE EATING MACHINES!!!

I've seen pairs on DD so it can be done at least short term. Good luck and let us know how it goes. I love my tailspot. Even though its always giving my royal gramma grief.

Wow, that's usually a Very Bad Sign. Glad it seems to have bounced back. This is one of my favorite fish.

I had one for several years. I think they're like a lot of fish - once acclimated they're pretty hardy, but some just never adjust.

I've had mine a year and a half. I got him as a little sprout, about 1/2 an inch long. He would hide in a patch of dictyota, and I didn't see it for a long time until it grew a little. Now it's about 2 inches and eats anything I toss in the tank that's small enough to fit in his mouth. He also munches on my rocks and glass all day. Love this fish!

Got mine from divers den, eats anything and everything but he is currently LOVING the little hair algae bloom I have on my Pukani rock. It's dying though so its a good thing that he likes the NLS pellets.

Mine ate pretty much anything (NLS, frozen mysis, etc.) but was an amazing algae eater.

Have had mine a year and a half now. Always picking at the rocks and perched where he can watch the me. Great fish!

We have had our tailspot blenny for almost two years now.

Even though a sixline wrasse and kole tang have decided to confine it to one corner of the tank, it's doing just fine. (Everyone was getting along just fine for over a year until the tank was moved downstairs and then territory became an issue.)

Our blenny doesn't really pick on the rock but all of the fish love the H2O Life frozen foods.

When our tailspot blenny was the the only fish in the tank and would fill up like yours, our kids would call it the "potbellied blenny".

It actually died about a week later. Then I managed to just now kill the gorgeous, healthy remaining one by accidentally leaving the skimmer pump intake screen off, overnight, after cleaning it.
