its quite 50/50
I went to the fish store and the sales guy told me false percs from different families would fight to the death.
Not sure about your species of clown fish.
I just have this gut feeling that sales guy is wrong.
I found out that false percs are naturally hemaphrodites and will give birth or turn into a male depending on what is needed.

inachu, i wouldnt believe everything your LFS tards tell you. They are not marine biologists and things in aquariums must be approached on a case-by-case basis. In a nutshell, your LFS are tards b/c clownfish should not imbreed. Most tanks your see at your LFS with percs and maroons are in the same tank and from separate mated pairs... its just how it goes. he must be on crack. take your time. I gave you a step by step process to getting them used to eachother in the other thread. Follow that and you should have no problem (I lay absolutely no guarantee). Its how I got my clowns to become a mated pair.

all clowns can switch gender. they start w/o one, then become male, then female. once they have switched to a different gender they cant go back, female will ALWAYS be females.
its worth a try on the saddlebacks. get the healthiest one you can, but get one small, and keep it isolated in a different container from the female, wait until she has reduced aggression, then add him to the tank.
