Pairing Yellow Coris

I have a yellow coris which I've had for several months now. I want to breed this species, so today when I was out at my LFS and they had a nice one I bought it. The new one is smaller than my older one, so hopefully that will help establish the pecking order. Right now they are checking each other out and displaying with the older one asserting its dominance. Has anyone paired these fish and got subsequent spawnings?

We bought a pair that was sold to us as a mated pair that has spawned before. However, ours never spawned in our tank. At first, they did swim together a lot. But it seems the bigger they got the less they did anything together. What's even more strange was that the female started to get the red/green pattern on its face as well. It's now a male and sub-male situation and still never spawned.

Good luck on them. Try to pick the smaller one as small as possible as ours seem to grow super fast. (triple in size in 6 months)

Edit: itachi said that he saw them spawn once when we first got them, but only once.

The smaller one is only 1/2 -3/4 inch shorter, but in overall mass appears really small next to my older fish. The smaller one also still has an eyespot on the caudal peduncle where the bigger one does not, which I read is a characteristic of being an initial female. I hope it all works out.
