Paly placement

29 gallon biocube. Lighting is 150 watt double-ended metal halide. The original 243 gph is top left and a powerhead with 425 gph is on right side.

Long time Friday, hows it going bud?

In regards to placement, try placing it on the bottom for now and let it adjust to the light. I find my paly's like indirect medium flow and medium/high intensity light (ati sunpower 6-54watt) with them being about 20 inches from the light. I did adjust them to this and honestly try different spots in your tank and see where it likes it best.

Try not to move them around too much unless it is obviously not doing well (closed for extended periods of time, shrinking, etc). Too many times new reefers always want to move their corals around and I found my corals do best when I give them a chance to settle in. Definitely don't put it on top first since this is many times a mistake and can severely stress your coral due to light shock.

i find they bleach really easily, so give it some distance from the light. theyre not picky about flow...medium is good:)
