Palys Not doing well

So I have had a big rock with bright green button polyps for about a year and a half. It is back in the corner of the tank. Low light (about 80 PAR) and has been quite happy and growing... About 2 months ago I hot another big rock for the other side of the tank. Lots of AOG, more green button polyps and some zoas and other goodies. I also have some AOG on the front of the talk and spreading like weeds...

So the original colony the polyps are open all the way around to they are ball shaped... I know my AOG at the front of the tank does this when there was not enough flow. But these are swaying in the current so I know they are getting plenty of flow.

The new rock has a few green button polyps turning brown... But they are spreading up the glass. I know this rock was in higher light in the tank I got them from so I figure it is still acclimating to the lower light.

I will try to get some soon.? I have some are dead and dying now....the only thing different in m tank is my nitrates are up from undetectable to 2.... My armor of god are spreading fast and my sps are doing better... My green buttons are dying...

Tank is crazy stable...I am confused...

They love intense lighting. They also love being target fed. They don't need a ton of current though.

well the image called palys4 have been sitting in low light for well over a year and have been growing like crazy. 1 through 3 is a relatively new addition. Perhaps a couple months. around the same time they both started to curl their lashes under and loose color. Image number 4 are browning and look more like low light. images 1-3 you can see some where the colors are split. The armor of gods on the same rock are doing well...

Some on that rock have closed up and are dying off. I don't know if I should remove the dead or not. My levels are not changing and my sps look good so I am guessing not.

Sorry for the bad pics but I can only get a shot at an angle through the glass and the camera does not like it...

I have 2 colonies of palys, 1 is in the upper center of the tank. It has been there for over a year. The polyps are about the size of a quarter. There is a second colony to the right of the sea fan. That colony came off of the first colony. It used to be under the rbta in lower light. The first pic is 5 months before the second pic. I've gotten more intense lighting since the first pic.

It might be worth a shot to get them up a little higher into the light, and maybe slightly less flow.

I am also concerned about them dying and causing problems with my sps... Granted they are not dying in mass but I don't know if I should pull out the dead or dying ones.

If they are going to actually die, they will pretty much shrivel up over the course of several months and disappear. I wouldn't take them out if that was/is the case. If yours are melting quickly and rotting, something is very wrong, and taking them out might be a good idea until you figure out what caused it.

Browning and shriveling.... No melting... I just ordered some more led's to get the par up a bit in the corners....
