Hello i have 2 months with a frag of 2 palythoa and don't grow, i want know that additive can use for estimulate growing.

see you.

okay, for any corals to grow, you must dose the following additives:
calcium
magnesium
alkalinity
also, it is advised that you do weekly water changes for optimal coral growth. What lighting do you have?

My levels are:
calcium 420
magnesium 1350
alkalinity 8
specific gravity 1.026

i have 2 blue plus T5HO ATI and 1 mh Hamilton of 20000°k and 2 times for week feeding mis corals with reef roids with excelents results with all corals (lps, sps, softs), except the zoos don't grow.

You don't necessarily need to dose for coral growth. I don't dose and I have great growth. It is advised to check the alk, calcium, and mg levels. If they are low then you should dose. I use a high quality salt which keeps my parameters in check. I use red sea coral pro and it keeps everything great. My guess is that the OP doesn't have enough flow on the palys or that they are in too low of light.

Paly's and Zoa's grow exponentially. You can expect 3-4-5 new polyps per week from a colony of 100-200 polyps. From a 2 polyp frag... Hmm... I would say it's 'random'. I've got 1 polyp and 2 polyp frags that i've had for a year, which remain 1/2 polyp frags. I've also got 4-5 100+ polyp colonies that are growing unstoppably.

My suggestion is that you get yourself a bigger colony.

Try feeding the palys bits of meaty food. My palys (more than 2 polyps) took about 2 months before they started growing, now they're going nuts. I did also move them up higher in the tank. The ones I moved lower to keep their color aren't growing as fast, but they are growing.
