how did you guys get this fungus in your tank? did it come on those colonies of the grandis??? this fungus is something i definitely dont want in my tank... any idea on how to combat it, or identify it?

I would like to know this as well.Would be nice to know what to look for,and a possible solution to get rid of the fungus.

I may have misstated the reason for mine to disolve.
It may have been bacterial or some sort of fungus or ????

I had a nice softball sized colony of rpe's in my 240 that fell over onto some crappy hairy mushrooms. Well the mushrooms burned the rpe's and my tang was starting to pick on it, so I moved what was left of the colony into my zoanthid tank.
The colony continued to decline and it looked as if it had a fugual thing going. I was working long hours, every day of the week and some days never saw the tank with the lights on. I guess about a week after moving the rpe's I noticed 4-5 colonies were in trouble (including the green grandis colony), Within a couple days most affected colonies were mush.
I did several dips (salt water), but nothing helped.

Here is mine.
