Hey guys just wanted to give a heads up that www.reefscavengers.com is having a sale on them.I bought a 5 polyps for $16.99.
Just to let everybody know,no I do not work for them or am I affiliated with thme.Just thought I would pass on the sale.
When I first got a frag of these was about 4 yrs ago when we lived in Chicago. The guy I got them from had a massive colony with about 100-150 polyps.Lucky for me he gave me a frag of 6 polyps for free, since I was buying a frags of all the other corals he had.I had never seen such a huge colony of these guys before. They were literally taking up the entire botom of his 58galrr tank. The coolest thing was that he had 4 clams that were entirely engulfed by the grandis. All you could see was there mantels.
I think they are gorgeous and cant wait to receive the frag I bought the other day. Will definately post a pic when they get here.

Thought I would give this great thread a bump back to the top with a pic of the Grandis I bought from Reef Scavengers. Keep in mind I suck at taking pics.
The growth is generally slow. Maybe a polyp every month or so. But it does take the babies a while to grow to full size. It also depends on how many you have...one or two won't grow as quickly as a small colony.
mine grow slow also...i have had mine since oct. and i have 4 polyps and 3 new baby polyps but like said above it takes the small ones quite some time to grow into large ones..i feed mine one mysis a day
how did you guys get this fungus in your tank? did it come on those colonies of the grandis??? this fungus is something i definitely dont want in my tank... any idea on how to combat it, or identify it?
