I have my water station set up in my laundry room, which is about a 50' run to where the tank is. I have my RODI water set up on the top shelf, about 5' to the bottom of that tank, and it is gravity fed through a hose that I drag out to my ATO reservoir once a week. I put a ball valve on the end of this hose as it isn't pressurized, and it works great.
For my salt mixing tank, it is on the bottom shelf, bottom of which is 4" off the ground. I have a Pan World 40px pumping 480 gallons per hour for both recirculating the salt water, and also pumping out to the tank through another hose when I open and close some valves. I would like to put a ball valve on the end of this hose as well so that I can plug in the pump, make my way to the tank, and then control flow at the tank, rather than having my wife plug it in and unplug it when I holler at her. I am worried that the pressure in the line would pop the vinyl hose or clamped fittings, or damage the pump. Will it? Anybody have similar setup? Thanks in advance!
