Par38 LED for frag tank?

I am looking into converting a chamber in my sump from fuge to grow out frag tank. The chamber is 10x10 square footprint and ~12 tall.

I am looking into adding a Par38 LED bulb and just screw it on to one of the cheap clamp on fixture from Home Depot. I am not even sure if the regular clamp on fixture will fit this bulb but look like it will maybe someone can confirm that for me.

Anyone have experience with using this LED bulb for growing frag? If so which bulb do you recommend?

A regular clamp lamp will fit it, but keep in mind that the bulb is pretty heavy (relative to incandescent bulbs its size), so make sure whatever fixture you use for it is able to handle the weight without falling in.

I have 4 of them over my frag tank and i think they are working pretty good. The regular worklight clamps from HD or Lowes work fine. Depending on how close the bulb will be to the water you might want to consider 60 degree optics, but 40 should cover a space that small.

To grow frag should i go with 12000K or 20000K?
