Went on a tour yesterday looking for some cool fishes. The wife saw this place on 47th near Stiner (by the Christian center thing). Its a small store, but they are starting to bring in the salt water. I talked to the owner for a little while, he is a nice guy. Looked to me like they should a nice store once they get some stuff going a little more. There were several (maybe 12-15 tanks for livestock and 3-4 tanks for frags and a nice display up front too. That I noticed, the lights were off in alot of tanks though. You guys should stop by and check it out sometime. Should be right on the way from Exotic to JoJo's too, nice location.

Just making sure everyone is aware of this new store (to us anyway) we found yesterday.

I've seen LFS shut off tank lights especially if they just received a shippment as this helps to calm the 'stressed' fish as they are introduced to the system's water. Thanks for pointing it out, nonetheless.

Store has been around for a while. But I think it keeps switching owners, or what not. It has been around for a while, and they keep saying they will have more salt water selection. It's a small store, maybe I will stop by to check up on it, again.

yep, its been around for 15+ years. You could aways go see the acupuncturist next door or grab some great chinese food across the street at Far East Cafe.

Guy I talked to said he took it over 6 months ago. I was just saying that they were off(the lights), I just did not pay attention to them, so I dont know how many tanks there were. From the looks of it they should have enough room for a pretty good selection. I think its worth a second look, I will give them a few weeks and check it out again.

Oh, the guy I talked to said 10% off for MARS members too, I really should start using that discount.

I was there the other day and they did not have any saltwater stuff just empty dirty tanks. It has been that way for months. If you like freshwater go and check it out but if not I would not bother stopping by there.I think 6 months is plenty of time to get stuff up and running but they have not even cleaned the tanks yet for saltwater.Well hopefully they will get it together someday.

Im just surprised they can stay in business moving in slow-mo like that. Your guys' description/testimonials pretty much sums up my visit about 3 months or so back!

He mainly has freshwater fishes. However, he just recently converted a section into saltwater and being cycled right now.

I'm sure they just need time. The new owners are really nice.

On a side note, Kevin and Norman (former proprietors of Paradise Aquarium) have opened a nice Japanese Buffet restaurant in Elk Grove, called Nara. It's right off of 99. Food's pretty good, with a nice selection of sushi and sashimi :)
