Introduced a Goldflake Angelfish into the display after my regular quarantine protocol. It seems very healthy.... energetic, eats a lot, etc. The only thing of concern is that it has very long, stringy poo on occasion.
From researching, it seems the likely cause is either internal parasites or constipation. I have read that white poo is usually a sign of parasites... it's poo has the normal color most of the time, although occasionally it is much lighter.
The main reason I wonder if it is just constipation is that the issue never showed up in quarantine. After a few days of acclimating and making sure it ate, I hit it with a round of prazipro. After that, I did a treatment of cupramine. Also, none of the other fish in the display tank show any signs of the same symptoms.
Is it possible that it is just adjusting to the food in the display? In quarantine, its diet was geared toward what I knew it would eat; in the display, it gets what everyone else does. Typically, I feed the display flakes in the morning, nori sheets in the afternoon, and various high quality "frozen mush" brands at night.
