Part 1 and Ammonia levels

So I got part 1 of "the package" Saturady. I have been checking my levels twicw a day. and the Ammonia levels seems to have dropped (could not do a water change yesterday) It has never exceeded .8 ppm (according to my test kit) and now its at about .2 ppm. Is this normal? BTW 29 gallon with Eclipse hood, (if you have experience with this set up let me know) Pictures to come.

I set up a tank with a 75 gal package recently. I did not have to do a water change for part 1 either. My ammonia peaked around 0.75 ppm and started going down by day 4. I did have to do a water change for part 2.
