After waiting for the last winter storm to clear so that we could ship, Richard was able to send me part 1 on Tuesday!
Unfortunately, only 3 of the 4 boxes arrived to my airport on Tuesday. Thankfully all of the sand arrived so I was about to put that in along with the one box of live rock.
The next day, I got a call from the airport that the last box had arrived. When I got there I was handed a soaking wet box that was falling apart (They had put it into another bag), yikes! I was given 2 options: 1) I could refuse shipment and they would contact TBS to return it, or 2) accept it and probably not get any reimbursement for the messiness. There was no water left but everything was still very damp. So I decided to accept the shipment.
Richard was very helpful through the whole process. I left work early to get the rock in the tank quickly. No foul smells were coming from it yet. There were a few dead crabs on top of it, but I removed them and put the rock in.
The rest of the night, my 5 year old son and I stared at the rock, finding all the life on them :fun2: He did not want to go to school because he wanted to stay home with the tank.
We found lots of crabs, feather dusters, and spagetti worms. Caught a mantis shrimp and saw some pistol shrimp.
The water parameters are staying in range right now. Hoping for a quick cycle so we can get part 2!
