Just curious, why the heater in the display?

Its against the garage wall, and I was having issues maintaining heat from the sump and back. Eventually it will be horizontal behind the rocks.

Update. Everything seems to be doing ok. Nem is slowly regaining color.

That's what I'm going to do with mine. I need the space in the back and I burned up a heater when a back chamber went dry. Do you think inverts or fish could get burned on the heater?

I haven't had any problems so far. I've done it this way for years in my freshwater tanks and no issues there either.

I guess they will learn the hard way not to touch the darn thing.
