That's a heck of collection. I see you primarily like T. maxima like I do.

The colors/pattern are just awesome IMO. Hope i can cover the sand bed with all the mantle fully extended :D

Waiting for some better clams??? They dont get much better than that. Very nice and thanks for adding them. How many clams do you have and how big is your tank?

Just curious, are you wonder over on reef frontiers too?

yap:o

4' x 3' x 18" (estimated to be only 125 gal)

19 clams but 11 are really small. :D just hope that at least half of the smaller ones can make it. 1 of my smallest clam just dead even with decent growth :(

you have great collection too:D

great thread, thanks for taking the time to put that photo collection together! Thread of the Month is very well deserved!

Here are some of my clams today from older pics skinz posted. My avatar shows them about a year and half ago. The squammy was much bigger than the derasa then, but not any more! The derasa has dwarfed the squammy. And the squammy has nearly doubled in size itself. The urchin is easily 3" across for scale.

Nice clams everyone. Keep them coming.

Here's a picture of a recent find. Much larger than my previous teardrop at almost 6".

Hi,
Do ya know where this clam came from? I mean which country.
Amazing TD.

I am not sure where it may have come from but I think all teardrops are wild caught. I would have to guess viet nam???

A couple of year back the green and blue tear drops were coming from Solomon Islands, but now they stopped exporting wild clams.

Im looking for one of those green/ blue tear drops for long time now.
