You want a Copperband? Here ya go.

Terms:

* Consideration:

No cost. Healthy Known Aptasia (and large feather duster!) eater. Healthy, no ich... Come get him in a baggie. So Copperbands run $25-$55 bucks. I'm paying forward by donating this one along. Just post your good news if you have any.

* Removal

Should be the responsibility of the most recent user (me to start), so that no one complains that someone else messed with your corals and rockwork. You used him last, be kind to him and place him in a baggie for the next guy! If you need a fish trap, ask around and someone should be able to loan one your way.

* Liability / Hold Harmless:

Part of this deal is that you don't complain about any other items the Copperband may be hungry for.

* Duration:

I guess most people would use him a couple of weeks or a month. Ideally non renewable.

* Replacement:

You deep six him, you replace him into the pool.

So moving the fish every month might be stressful or psychologically traumatic to the fishie. Gotcha. Starving may be worse.

* Prequalification:

Be kind to the darn fish. If your water parameters aren't suitable, don't ask for him and let someone else take him.

First one who pinged me on this was Pufferpunk. I'll make sure he comes your way first...

Others, you're welcome to line up after Pufferpunk...

Creative suggesters welcome - flamers, PMs preferred.

I would like to try this fish. I guess I could move the feather dusters for the time being. Really want to get rid of those pesty aptasias (killed a really nice colony of pumpkin zoas) but I only have 4 of them for him to eat, so I'd like to have another home lined up before I take him.

Suggestion:
Some reefers (like Pufferpunk) may have only a few pieces for the fish to munch on, therefore instead of moving the fish move the rock if possible.

just my 2c

Both of these ideas are great. Agreed it is a better option than starvation.

I wish I could participate, but too many fish, too many incompatible fish, and I thought no way to get it out once it is in (do fish traps really work and how would you lure a CBB into one?)

Glbtrottr, is this the one from my tank ....
IF SO THIS THING IS A MACHINE!!!!!!!! good thing is he will also eat mysis if he is hungry. :)

Just a little family history...

glbtrottr - Good Idea! That's very nice of you to make the investment in this fish to get this goin' . Like the terms too.
