Hello LA,

I contacted a customer service rep. on tuesday about this problem, and I have had no luck following the advice I was given.

I ordered the Powder Blue Hybrid late last week, for arrival on Friday. When it arrived it wouldn't eat, and to the best of my knowlege the animal still has not taken a bite of anything. I have tried EVERYTHING the customer rep. told me to do, and nothing has worked.

I am at a loss as for what to do now...

reefman13,

We are sorry to hear that the Powder Blue Tang Hybrid is not currently eating. Due to the stress of shipping fish can stop eating for a short time, though given ideal water quality the fish can make a complete recovery. At this time we recommend that you continue to offer a variety of foods. You may also want to try soaking the food in Garlic Xtreme as this will help to stimulate the appetite of the fish. Please keep us posted on condition of the fish. We have documented your customer file of the concerns you are having with the Tang.

If we can be of further assistance please contact us.

As I had said I have tried everything. Garlic X. Selcon, and my own special garlic mix, and it wants none of it.

When I got my Achilles(close relative to the Acanthurus Hybrid you have) from Diver's Den it took longer than a week to start eating Nori. Just keep offering different types of food, with garlic, and keep the water parameters ideal. My Achilles spent almost 4 months in Qt. It has been in my display for two months and he is a beast. He eats everything and is extremely healthy. Good luck, be patient.
