PC Connection issue

I know that the aquariumcontroller.com is the website for help, but I figured that there were enough Profilux users on RC to help me get my profilux reconnected to my network.

I have a PII EX with a LAN card and haven't been able to access it via the LAN card since I moved into my new house.

If someone can call me and help me work through this issue, I appreciate it.

as long as you are using the latest matching firmware to software and the LAN card is installed into slot zero just go into the connection edit screen and click on TCP/IP conection and select auto connect.

If that does not work then please ask on the GHL support forum

Thanks Michael. I am not sure that I have the latest firmware, and I don't know if I remember how to push it to the profilux.

I have asked the same question on the GHL support forum, but the RC boards has more traffic so I figured I could get some help here as well.

Hi

Upgrading is simple but you need a connection to do so. If you still have your RS232 cable (profiser) then connect using this even if it is trough a USB serial adapter

Once you have a connection then go to the Firmware download section in the manual and importantly follow it word for word, this also includes the onscreen prompts, read everything that is show to you and you can not go wrong.

Not sure if I still have the RS232 cable or if I even had one when I received my Profilux. I'll look around in my fish box and look for it.

every profiLux comes with one they are not shipped without. If you have misslaid it they can be purchased from our dealers, you must use the GHL RS232 cable due to non standard serial wiring.

Ok, I still haven't figured out what is going on with my controller. Matthias posted a .pdf document that I've read through and it doesn't help.

Is anyone else that can help?

Its not the controller its your network settings, the controller plays very little part in the connection side.

Contact Xiaan or Boboxx they are the network gurus
