PC Superman table acro

Anyone with experience with this acro have suggestions on placement to get the best coloration? I've noticed in general reds do better for most sps in lower light while blue's tend to be more light hungry, at least in my experience. Since this is both not really sure what will get the best results. What kind of flow/light is best for these? I'm running 2 radions and 2 mp40's on a 100g so just trying to figure out what will get the best color on these.

Mine took a while to color up but its got light blue tips now...

Nice. I guess we will see how it colors up. I dropped the radions down to about 40% since I added about 20 frags and a colony this weekend and didn't have frag rack space on the bottom for them all since they came from a t5 based tank.

Here is my little piece. Just like Darryl said. High light, high flow, and a little bit of patience...

Quick edit: A REALLY healthy specimen will even get shades of orange in the coral!

Yeah, I know acros are high light high flow, but that's my whole tank honestly. With the 2 mp40's and radions in a 4x2 tank I can put acros in the sand and get good growth but depth seems to impact color more even while they grow like weeds.

Hi Maleci,

Do you have access to a PAR meter? I can run downstairs and take an actual reading for you if it helps.

Very nice acro. I just picked up a small colony of "superman" milepora. It was maricultured and is adjusting nicely to my reef. Mostly blue at the moment.

Jason.

Not off hand. Can ask around and try to find one I know someone locally had one that was getting passed around for a while I can try to track down.

Not that I even have that coral..being in the UK...But I would definitely be interested in the PAR it is receiving. Many thanks!

With an 8 x 80 ATI Sunpower (2 ATI Actinic, 3 ATI Aquablue, 2 ATI Geissmann Mid Day, and 1 ATI Blue+) 13" off the top of the tank and 9" below the water surface... The coral is getting PAR of 485:thumbsup:
