PC's or t5's

Yes, the T5's are probably better, but you need to make sure you get a T5 set up w/ individual reflectors for each bulb, otherwise you lose a lot of the benefit.

Never owned one. I know someone who did though. He does not own it anymore. Was a few years back but they were dangerous to use. Fire hazzards Big time.

I have some leathers, mushrooms, frogspawn, and zoas. Nothing to interesting I was told I could keep some sps, but I have not gone that far yet. I also had a clam in my substrate for awhile. I am in the process of redoing my set-up and will post some pics soon.

The ballasts are weak and the fans are loud and the bulb spectrum is not accurate/consistant. If you changes bulbs and ballasts and fans (if yours are loud, some are quite) then you would hve a better light, but still would have an ordinary reflector so this is a DIY light at best and may not be better than equivalent PC lighting with Hamilton internal reflectors. Just my 2 cents.

my 2008 Odysse light caught on fire. lucky i was home and was able to put it out. if i were you i would stay away from them.

this is wat im lookin at iether the t5 or pc
