peacock mantis acting really weird, help please

my peacock mantis has been acting weird lately, i think he's getting ready to molt. but since yesterday he's been acting almost as if he's blind or something. he keeps putting his face in the sand, or like into the glass as if he can't see but he knows how to get back to his little burrow. is this normal if a mantis is about to molt? i'm just really confused, is he ok? no signs of shell disease or anything. thanks

When mine molted he pigged out for a few days, then sealed his burrow and didn't come out for over a week. WHen I say sealed I mean SEALED I poked at his entrance and he had smashed shells together so tight it was like cement. Funny little creatures aren't they?
