I posted in the Reef Discussions forum but nobody seem to have an answer.

Is it ok to keep a Peacock Mantis shrimp in a tank with LR and some predator fish only such as Volitans Lionfish, Frogfish, Lionfish and Zebra Eels?

hmm peacocks are extremely territorial from what ive experienced, the lionfish and eels might be safe but i bet that frogfish wont be safe

Mantis don't seem to like Lions, and kill them when ever possible, and a Zebra Eel is a crustation eater, so I definately wouldn't put one in with a mantis.

i have seen a fuzzy dwarf lion live with a Smithii just fine... but i think it depends on the mantis... I dont recommend keeping a mantis with anything that you are really attached too

i would stay away from the eel for sure, if the eel is too big it will eat the mantis or if the eel is too small the mantis will probably kill it, especially a ribbon eel. mantis' dont like other things in their caves. on the other hand a relatively small lion should be ok. ( i'm the one with the fuzzy dwarf and smithii). frogsifh might def try to eat a mantis. my lion seems to like my mantis though...they sit right next to eachother and watch me at my computer. the lion doesnt seem to recognize the mantis as food, granted its almost as big as he is. I was surprised that the mantis doesnt attack the lion even when he sits at the entrence of the mantis cave.

I wouldn't trust the frogfish one bit. I have one hosued in a 12g gallon. Granted he is small, he just ate a damsel about half his size. I have heard stories of small frogfish attacking eels and cjoking on them and killing both in the process.
