Peninsula Style Look-Down Build

Thanks!

smogl00, if only the orange hammer actually GREW... thing has looked the same for the past 6 months...

Dan, Do you target feed it at all? I don't do that with mine but have heard of others doing it and getting better growth.

Mel,

I target feed my anemones, and my acans a few times a week... more so the anemones than the acans though.

My hammer doesn't accept food... i tried to squirt shrimp into it, and it just got mad for a while.

Thanks!

Ok. For the sake of hopefully getting frags of Dan's amazing hammer in the future, let's all figure out how to make that thing EAT!

Seriously though, I know somewhat of where you're coming from on this. I have an australian purple hammer that just gets angry if I try to target feed it as well. I have noticed however, since I started feeding Rod's food with all of it's microscopic goodies, when I feed my torch and trachy that are in the same area, food both large and small passively lands on the hammer and it pulls it in to eat. Since this has been happening the hammer is becoming a bit less sensitive about closing up anytime something touches it. Might be worth a shot so I can get one of those little baby hammers someday ;-)

This has been my favorite coral of all time for many YEARS.

Thanks to a good friend, I can finally grow out a centerpiece.

Thanks Mel,

Seems as though the picture disappeared.

Decided to take some time out of today (What a great day btw) to play around with my camera. (More messing with manual white balance etc)

Here is a set of photos of Acanthastrea Lordhowensis: I am switching my tank to ALL acans soon... well acan dominant :)

Love those! And would you get out of my head already? Acan dominant? I'm planning on the same thing! Not only that, I feel like every time I'm floating through cyberspace checking out corals, the next time I see the ones I like they are in your tank! We definitely have similar tastes. Some great finds there on those acans.

I would like to thank Jacwil for this acan. Its pretty cool! (one on the left)

Hope its a fast grower!

I'll be sure to update. I will be switching tanks, adding my sump, and adding some pretty cool rock structuring when I move in a month! :bounce1:

Ah Awesome! I'll be looking forward to seeing this!

Farwell to the 30breeder. Last day it stands is tomorrow. RIP
