people eater ??

hey there,

bought this small frag of button polyps, they were so small I could barely see the green mouth. As they grew I thought they RPE, however they have a purple skirt. They look much better than in the pic , any idea what they are? I'm posting a pic of them next to the RPE's as well

in the second pic the top ones are rpe's imo, the lower ones i'm not sure.

Yup, top frag is RPE's... Bottom ones look to me like Jolly Green Giants...

I hate the name... Since they aren't all green... I dunno... Wait till yours finish morphing...

They could also be PRPE (Pink Rim People Eater)... I don't think they are, because of the green sheen you see around the center of the uppermost and middle polyp... But that may be just because of the way your picture was taken...

Anyways, I've had a similar PE that was called a Purple Moon PE... Depending on the lighting it was under, it changed coloration... Under VHO's it was more purple, but under MH's, it was more green... Thats why zoaid sometimes sucks because lighting has to remain consistant to maintain certain ID's... Well that and fancy names demand fancy prices... Oh well... Hope this helps...

whatever they are I will be keeping them. so they are green mouth, red center and purple skirt. works for me.

Trini, RPE's are pretty common, they shouldn't be hard to get, some have better color than others, but then again, there's that lighting thing. I have a couple small frags if you have something to trade
