I got 2 peppermint shrimps. One of them is dead and the other one is missing.
It's a relative new tank. Been running for 3 weeks and cycled.
I have a 120G DT with a sump.
40lb of live rocks, 60lb of base rocks, and 60lb of dry sand.
1 hermit crab.
I drip-acclimated them then released to display tank. I forgot how long it was but I did like 1 part LFS water with 6 part my DT water. Then, I got as much water out as possible and put the cup inside DT to release them.
There was a incident. The dead peppermint shrimp got sucked up to the power head but he managed to escape but got blew away but the current. Then he laid on the sand bed right side up.... that was the last time I saw him alive. He was dead at the same spot
Any idea why he's dead?
here is my parameters the day I put them in.
Salinity: 1.026
Free Ammonia, Total Ammonia, Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0.2
pH: 8.15
Alkalinity: 9.8 dKH
thanks
