Peppermint Shrimp Season

Does anyone know when these shrimp are in season? When do people collect them in South FL?

They are collected in south FL, The most common time is the crab season, the commercial crab traps usually have hundreds of them and the wholesalers buy them at that time from the crab men.

If it is in crab season, then it probobly starts in september. Stone crab season is during any month with an R in it (dont ask me why thats just how it is)

I don't think there is a closed season in Florida for these things, and as I remember (when I lived there) they are around all the time on the reefs. Last I checked the state's website I didn't see any limitations for personal collecting- may be different if you want to re-sell them commercially. Ken at sealifeinc.com seems to have them in stock all the time though.
