Peppermint shrimp?

Has anyone had experience with peppermint shrimp eating vermetid snails?

I bought a peppermint shrimp last week and tonight is the first time I've seen him out and about. He seemed to be munching down on the vermetids, of which I have lots. yanking the string right out of the little red tube.

my favorite day of aquarium keeping thus far was the death of my peppermint shrimp...he picked at my coals and nems....sometimes they are reefsafe and sometimes they raise hell....its all about luck sounds like you have the same luck as I

This isn't the first time I've heard of one eating vermetids. I wish I could find one that did. I'm not a big vermetid fan.

i did not know peps may eat them

i heard halichoeres chrysus (yellow/golden/canary wrasse) may eat them

havent tried either. im afraid the peps with attack my LPS and the wrasse will get too big for my tank...

i just knock their tubes down as much as i can. i've been using scissors to literally chop them off the rock.
