Peppermint snails

Does anyone have experience with peppermint snails? Reason I ask, I have never been able to keep SPS. It always bleached and died while I had great water parameters. Last week I recieved some pieces from a fellow reefer to try out again. Needless to say, I am watching them like a hawk! However, about two nights ago I noticed a pep. snail cruising over toward the one SPS. Next night (lastnight) I notice a couple more (3) all at my new corals. One was heading up to a trumpet frag I have, two were on and under a rock with a Montipora digitada on top and zoas covering the rest of the rock (including under the rock). I did some searches but couldn't come up with anything conclusive. Could the be messing with my SPS and making them die or are they possibly eating something new to my tank on the new rock pieces and coral skeleten? Thank you for any input!

Does anyone even know anything about this species? If you go to this link, it is all the way on the bottom left. Tan and white, smooth, kinda oval shell.

That's a marginellid, probably Volvarina philippinarum. They are carnivores, and sometimes scavengers.

Sweet! Thanks Don! So I should be ok then? Maybe just eating some critters that died withing the live rock on the tank transfer? Thanks a bunch! I really appreciate it.
