Peppermints breeding in a reef?

Whats the likelieness? I have 1 that is slightly lighter colored, and has an enlarged, darkened abdomen. She (?) is constantly cleaning and picking at her belly. The two darker red guys hang out on a diffrent powerhead most of the day, untill she comes and chases one. Any thoughts?

they breed all the time in reef tanks. All will be carrying eggs before long. When one molts, it becomes female and a male can fertilize the eggs she will carry. After the molt she will become a he, even though carrying eggs, and will fertilize another shrimp that is molting. i may have a detail or two wrong, but the point is that they are sequential hermaphrodites and play both roles.

what do the fry survive on?
Any real chance of rearing in a seperate tank?
