i got a few pepermint shrimp last week (apoximately 6) . they have been in hiding since ......due to my jerk of a pistol shrimp being territorial. not sure how many survived the initial few days when learning to stay away from the snapping sounds is crucial. anyways today i noticed that a big aptasia ( crown was the size of a nickle) was gone. so just now with a flash light i checked for pepermints. i saw one tering up an aptasia right before my eyes. i only had a few..in any case by tommarow i believe ill have none! i tried to get a picture but my camera died right when i turned it on. in anycase pepermints did thier job. i had a big aptasia that was annoying me but shrimp ate 'em up! yesssssss!

Nice Dave.

Yeah...I got two the other day...small enough to be eaten by a "nickle-sized" aptasia. :D

Anyway...havn't seen them since they went in yesterday....
......but as I threw them in, my six-line got this big grin on his face. I imagine he was thinking.....

"mmmmm.......live food!" :rolleye1:

My previous two fell prey to Interceptor. :(
They never touched the aptasia.

Where did you get the shrimp from???????

threw in 3 and seen once a week in day time......very shy.......

Had the Nudi Branchs twice before and they worked awsome!!!!:) and a copper band butterfly thay ate them up quite rediley......

peace,

Mike

they are very shy when intro'd and can be easily preyed on. when ever i get pepermints they only survive for a month or so. my other inhabitants have learned how weeak they are. i have even seen my cleaners chase them around! i added six two weeks ago...currently i only see 2 ...but the others could be hidding. in any case all of the aptasi I had are gone! every single one! gone. i got my shrimp from union aquarium.
