Perc pair divorce?

Hello all. I've got this Percula pair; I've had them for about 8 1/2 months. This whole time, they have been hosting my Torch coral. Lately, I've been feeding near my flame BTA (opposite corner of my 55 gal tank) in the hopes this would help the percs explore the tank a bit and "discover" the BTA. Well, as of yesterday, it seems to have worked - the male has now moved into the BTA and seems very happy there. (I'm not sure which is more exciting for him - having a bigger home, or getting a break from his abusive girlfriend.) The female, however, doesn't seem ready to make the move - she's staying put in the Torch. I guess my question for the group is: what will happen next? Will they stay apart? Move back together and, if so, where? Visit each other on weekends?

Predictions welcome. Meanwhile, I'll sit back, watch, and enjoy.

My ocellaris's didn't take to the BTA at the same time either, took a few days before i saw the second one diving into the anemone, mine however at the time weren't hosting anything(they got to rough and killed my torch)

Me thinks she will eventually find him, take control of the anemone, make his life hell, etc.

+1. As all females do, they'll move in and try to run the show. Just takes a little time, and the male having to deal with the whole "no, I'm a wholesome girl, I'm not ready to move in with you, I need a ring on this finger, what would my parents think", blah-blah-blah. Then boom, tampons in the bathroom.

And you wonder why clowns sometimes jump.

I have 5 RBTA in my tank and they both float between them all. Sometimes they sleep together and something the sleep apart.

Thanks to all for the replies and good humor. For those of you in need of closure, I can confirm the accuracy of your predictions: three days later, the male managed to persuade the female to move in with him. They are now happily enjoying their new and much bigger home. She even seems to have backed off a bit on the abuse, no doubt as a temporary reward. :inlove:
