Percula color fading with H. Mag Anemone

For years I have wanted my misbar/onyx percula pair to host an anemone. I have tried haddoni, crispa, bta's etc.. and the pair has never hosted an anemone. I attributed this to their being tank raised fish. There have been other species of clowns in the same tank that have hosted various anemones through the years.

Recently I found a H. mag at local petco. They got a couple in and I watched them for a week in their tanks. The other one was very poor at arrival but one lived. So I brought it home, quarantined it to be sure it was not going to die or worsen (it was very bleached). This is my first mag very happy after years to have such a wonderful anemone.

Well after introduction of the anemone the fish showed no interest. But I was determined to have them host the h. mag. So I purchased a very small pair of true perculas which I believe are wild caught. My hope was the tank raised fish would learn to host from the wild perculas. Once introduced the true percula immediately hosted the H. mag.. After a few days of squabbles between the fish the mature pair of misbar/onyx began hosting the mag. and pushed the much younger true perculas out of the anemone. Win-Win (so I thought).

Now my mature female has lost much of her color not just black but all of her color has "faded". i think it is the melanocytes being effected reducing her color intensity(?) The male is still dark and his color has not changed. She does not appear to have any disease, is feeding well, and is actually more active than ever loving her new home.

Two questions- Can I do anything to improve her color? and/or If I move the pair to a tank without the H. mag do y'all think they will host other anemones now that may not affect her color, and her color return?

Thanks,
Shane
