Percula is just sitting on the sand...

She is about 4 inches long. She will just be sitting on the sand bed up against the glass, until I walk up to the tank, then she gets up and starts to kinda swim away slowly. I will sit back down, and she will go back the the exact spot she was in before.

I have two anemones that both her and her mate go into from time to time. She just started it today. The male is in the LTA at all times.

Does this mean that she is ready to spawn? Would it be a bad idea to put the two into the new broodstock tank that has been cycling for 2 weeks now?

If they do end up spawning on a rock in the show tank (which is not what I want to happen) and I move them to the new broodstock tank after they start to spawn in another tank, will they spawn any time soon, or will they wait 3 weeks again?

I bought them as a pair, and they had been in the show tank of my LFS for almost 3 years. I got them about three weeks ago.

IMO if you have had them for only 3 weeks they prob arent spawning..how dose she act when you feed them and what is you water chem like?

My parameters are fine. I used the quick dip strips.

When fed frozen brine and mysis shrimp, she is a pig. Also, she loves spirulina flakes.

Would my Solana be ready for a mature pair of Percs? It has been cycling for around 2 weeks now. I mixed the water myself, and have been adding KENT Purple Tech for a week. The temp in the Solana is a little under 90 (I will bring it down before I put any fish in it), and the coralline algae is bursting on the rock.

IMO i would wait no less than 4-5 more weeks to add anything just to be on the safe side...let you bio-filter mature more you will thank you self later

I am just worried. She is eating great, water parameters are fine, she is breathing normally, when she swims, she swims normally. She just lies there on the sand, not moving. She does not lie on her side, just between her middle stripe and her "snout".

That is strange behavior, have you tried emailing the people at wetwebmedia.com... they might have a suggestion. My clowns host in my ritteri and I dont remember them in the sand before that mostly they would swim in one area.

I just emailed wetwebmedia everything that I know about the situation. Hopefully I will hear back from them soon. Thanks for the suggestion.

**EDIT** I will post what wetwebmedia replies
