Percula Ocellaris Paring

Could anyone tell me if it would be ok to try and pair a percula and and ocellaris? I've been looking in to it and it appears it can be done, (Percularis) but I'm not sure if it would be extra difficult to pair the fish up. I was interested in getting a picasso percula and an extreme misbar ocellaris. I'm not especially interested in breeding them or anything, but I would like them to be able to pair up and exist long term.

Any info, tips, or warning would be greatly appreciated.

I currently have a perc/ocellaris pair. From my experience and hearing accounts about others, it is no more difficult than pairing members of the same species.

I also have a perc/occ pair which my LTA just started hosting them after having them over a year in my 125g. I just threw them in a week apart and the bigger one stayed as a female. I would say just get them around the same size and with time they will pair up. Mine took a month until they left eachother alone.

I have a pair. It is a little harder and the male get beat up more so than normal. I guess because the cue is slightly different between the two species.
IME when I pair Ocellaris with Ocellaris, there hardly any fighting. Same with Percula/Percula. I raised the babies one Onyx and one Snowflake together. Once they reach maturity, for two weeks the Snowflakes was all tattered before the fighting subside. It is not that the the Snowflake fight back, but the Onyx just keep on beating him. It was almost to the point that I would separated them before they stop. I breed clown fish and did a lot of pairing. This was certainly more difical than same species pairing.

I suppose it depends upon the individuals. I experienced no fighting whatsoever when pairing two different small ocellaris males with my massive perc female. On the other hand, I had a large wild caught black Darwin female ocellaris bully a newly added small captive bred black ocellaris to death, only to accept a small wild caught orange ocellaris male without incident less than a month later. In many respects, clowns are like people - some of us just don't get along.
