I just wanted to share my success at getting a pair of Perculas to host in an anemone. I purchased my Sebae a couple of months in advance of my clowns to insure the anemone would be happy and thrive. I found the biggest, healthiest specimen I could find (this one is actually my second specimen as the first one tore it's pedal somehow and died), brought it home and let it find it's happy place in my 65 tall. When I got my Perculas, I was a little disappointed when I learned they were tank raised. I had read a lot of stories of unsuccessful attempts to get ANY tank raised clowns to host in ANY anemone. I had also read stories of taping a picture to your tank so the clowns could see what they were SUPPOSED to do, moving the anemone to the spot the clowns slept at night, even taking the anemone OUT of it's spot and putting it, along with the clowns,in a spaghetti strainer until they hosted. When I got my clowns home, they would have nothing to do with the Sebae. At night they would host near the top of the tank against my overflow box. I tried feeding them over the anemone, gently trying to herd them towards the anemone, nothing. Finally I read somewhere to use a flashlight at night so the anemone would be in plain view of the clowns. I used an LED flashlight (don't know if this matters or not, just that the beam was more concentrated.) and hooked it to my LED fixture so it would shine down directly over the anemone when the other lights were out. The first night I gently herded them towards the anemone and they showed mild interest. The second night using the same technique, I was able to get them closer still. I went to bed expecting them to be near my overflow and was pleasantly surprised to see them BOTH sound asleep in the Sebae the following morning! That was almost 2 weeks ago and the anemone has found a new spot to call it's own and the clowns rarely leave it. They feed it, clean it, play in it and chase my cleaner shrimp away anytime he gets to close. I really hope this helps anyone looking to have anemone and clowns in the same tank.
